Blocking Users (Coming Soon)
User blocking is currently not available on Masquerading, but it's on our roadmap as a future update to enhance privacy and safety controls.
What User Blocking Will Do
When blocking functionality is implemented, you'll be able to block other users to protect your experience:
- Block Direct Monologue messages: Blocked users won't be able to send you private messages
- Hide their content: You won't see their posts in The Arena, Green Rooms, or Events
- Privacy protection: They won't know they've been blocked
- Reversible: You'll be able to unblock users at any time
Current Safety Options
While blocking is not yet available, you can take these steps to protect yourself:
- Report inappropriate behavior: Use the Report feature to alert the Masquerading team
- Leave Green Rooms: Exit any Green Rooms where you feel uncomfortable
- Decline connections: Reject Direct Monologue connection requests from users you don't want to interact with
- Avoid events: Choose not to attend events organized by specific users
When Will Blocking Be Available?
We're actively developing user blocking as part of our commitment to safety and privacy. While we don't have a specific release date, we'll announce it in our Changelog when it's ready.
Stay updated by following our announcements on the platform or checking the Changelog regularly.
Need Help Now?
If you're experiencing harassment or inappropriate behavior:
- Prefer the in-app support ticket (open the app, click the cog, then Share Feedback)
- Report it immediately using the Contact Form (select "Report Inappropriate Behavior")
- Provide details: Include the username, what happened, where, and when
- Include evidence: Screenshots help us take faster action
The Masquerading team takes all reports seriously and will investigate promptly. For serious violations, we can take action including warnings, suspensions, or permanent bans.
