Prohibited Content

Content posted on Masquerading must comply with our Terms & Conditions and be legal, appropriate, and respectful. The following types of content are strictly prohibited.

Illegal or Harmful Content

Content must not be unlawful or capable of giving rise to legal action:

• Illegal activity: Content promoting or inciting crime
• Criminal instructions: Instructions for committing crimes
• Court violations: Content in contempt of court or breach of court orders
• Dangerous content: Instructions or advice that could cause illness, injury, or death
• Breach of official secrets: Violation of official secrets legislation

Hate Speech and Discrimination

Masquerading has zero tolerance for hate speech:

• Racial or religious hatred: Content promoting hatred based on race or religion
• Discriminatory content: Content that discriminates against protected groups
• Hateful speech: Inflammatory, discriminatory, or hateful content

Harassment and Abuse

Content that harms or targets individuals is prohibited:

• Harassment: Offensive, threatening, menacing, or anti-social behavior
• Abuse: Abusive or threatening content directed at others
• Bullying: Content intended to intimidate or harm others
• Defamation: Libellous or maliciously false statements
• Causing distress: Content causing annoyance, inconvenience, or needless anxiety

Sexual and Violent Content

Explicit or graphic content is not allowed:

• Pornographic content: Pornographic, lewd, suggestive, or sexually explicit material
• Obscene content: Obscene or indecent material
• Graphic violence: Explicit, graphic, or gratuitous depictions of violence

Deceptive or Fraudulent Content

Content must be truthful and not misleading:

• False information: Untrue, false, inaccurate, or misleading content
• Fraudulent activity: Deceptive, fraudulent, or scam content
• Impersonation: Pretending to be someone else (including staff or other users)
• Spam: Unsolicited advertising or spam content

Intellectual Property Violations

Respect others' intellectual property rights:

• Copyright infringement: Unauthorized use of copyrighted material
• Trademark violations: Unauthorized use of trademarks
• Moral rights violations: Infringement of moral rights
• Privacy violations: Breach of right of privacy or data protection legislation

Technical Violations

Content that harms the platform or users:

• Malware: Viruses, Trojan horses, worms, spyware, or malicious software
• Platform damage: Content that causes damage or impairment to the website

Reporting Prohibited Content

If you encounter prohibited content on Masquerading:

1. Prefer the in-app support ticket (open the app, click the cog, then Share Feedback)
2. Use the Contact Form to report it
3. Provide specific details: what content, where it is, when you saw it
4. Include screenshots or links if possible
5. All reports are reviewed by the Masquerading team

Consequences

Posting prohibited content may result in:

• Immediate content removal
• Formal warning
• Account suspension or termination
• Legal action for serious violations
