Clearing Cache and Data

Clearing your browser cache can resolve many issues. Here's how to do it for different browsers.

When to Clear Cache

Clear cache when:

  • Pages aren't loading correctly
  • Features aren't working
  • You see outdated content
  • Experiencing performance issues

Chrome

  1. Click the three dots menu (top right)
  2. Go to "More tools" > "Clear browsing data"
  3. Select "Cached images and files"
  4. Choose time range (Last hour, Last 24 hours, All time)
  5. Click "Clear data"

Firefox

  1. Click the menu button (three lines)
  2. Go to "Options" > "Privacy & Security"
  3. Scroll to "Cookies and Site Data"
  4. Click "Clear Data"
  5. Select "Cached Web Content"
  6. Click "Clear"

Safari

  1. Go to "Safari" menu > "Preferences"
  2. Click "Advanced" tab
  3. Check "Show Develop menu"
  4. Go to "Develop" menu > "Empty Caches"

Edge

  1. Click the three dots menu
  2. Go to "Settings" > "Privacy, search, and services"
  3. Click "Choose what to clear"
  4. Select "Cached images and files"
  5. Click "Clear now"

Mobile Browsers

For mobile:

  • iOS Safari: Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data
  • Chrome Mobile: Settings > Privacy > Clear browsing data

Important Notes

Clearing cache will:

  • Remove stored website data
  • May log you out (you'll need to log back in)
  • Improve performance
  • Fix many display issues
