Clearing Cache and Data
Clearing your browser cache can resolve many issues. Here's how to do it for different browsers.
When to Clear Cache
Clear cache when:
- Pages aren't loading correctly
- Features aren't working
- You see outdated content
- Experiencing performance issues
Chrome
- Click the three dots menu (top right)
- Go to "More tools" > "Clear browsing data"
- Select "Cached images and files"
- Choose time range (Last hour, Last 24 hours, All time)
- Click "Clear data"
Firefox
- Click the menu button (three lines)
- Go to "Options" > "Privacy & Security"
- Scroll to "Cookies and Site Data"
- Click "Clear Data"
- Select "Cached Web Content"
- Click "Clear"
Safari
- Go to "Safari" menu > "Preferences"
- Click "Advanced" tab
- Check "Show Develop menu"
- Go to "Develop" menu > "Empty Caches"
Edge
- Click the three dots menu
- Go to "Settings" > "Privacy, search, and services"
- Click "Choose what to clear"
- Select "Cached images and files"
- Click "Clear now"
Mobile Browsers
For mobile:
- iOS Safari: Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data
- Chrome Mobile: Settings > Privacy > Clear browsing data
Important Notes
Clearing cache will:
- Remove stored website data
- May log you out (you'll need to log back in)
- Improve performance
- Fix many display issues
